"Pixie"
Our Terrier Mix
Pixie was a Mother's day gift to my Mom from us girls!  We already had our cat Chang, and our dog Punky but my sister Vicki saw this cute little puppy at the Humane Society and brought her home.  Each of the 5 daughters chipped in to pay for her adoption fees.  We knew that if Mom didn't like her she may have to go back but Mom went along with it and we kept her!
We think she had some poodle in her and some kind of terrier but we never knew for sure.  She was so tiny when we got her that she could lay down in my sister Karen's cowboy hat.  She never got real big and was a wonderful companion to Punky.  The best way to describe her was that she was completely submissive to our bossy Lhasa Apso Punky.  They got along great.
We had a console television in front of the family room window that faced the frontyard and the street.  Both dogs would climb on the nearby chair and up onto the top of the TV to look outside.  We ended up just covering the top with a throw rug and that was where they always were.  If the window was open, they would lay along the window sill!
I will try and get some favorite pictures of Pixie posted soon.  She was such a sweet tempered and cute little dog.
She and Punky lived a long time but Punky left us first.  It was very hard on Pixie, she had never been alone.  She died very shortly after Punky and joined her at the rainbow bridge.
